I. \\#Esther 10:1-3\\ The Conclusion
A. These verses provide a closing to the thought, "And what happened to the
Jews that stayed in Persia? The answer is that God provided them with
a earthly benefactor, at least for a few years. This was God’s way of
giving His people a few more years to return to the Promised Land.
B. \\#1\\ What happened to King Ahasuerus?
1. "king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land and upon the isles of the
sea."
2. It sounds like he just kept getting richer and richer.
C. \\#2-3\\ What happened to Mordecai?
1. "the greatness of Mordecai… next unto king Ahasuerus" - He continued
to become a great man in Persia, second only to the king. Mordecai
makes the third Jew who God exalted to be a foreign king’s second.
Joseph and Daniel being the first two.
2. "seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace" - Mordecai
used his position to advance his people.
