Isaiah 35

    I. (1-39) Condemnation
        A. Chapters 1-12 - Prophecies against Judah
        B. Chapters 13-23 - Prophecies against the Nations
        C. Chapters 24-27 - Prophecies of the Day of the Lord
        D. Chapters 28-35 - Prophecies of Judgment and Blessing
            1. \\#28:1-29\\ Ephraim’s Future
            2. \\#29:1-24\\ Jerusalem’s Future
            3. \\#30:1-33\\ Israel’s Future
            4. \\#31:1-9\\ Egypt and Judah’s Present
            5. \\#32:1-20\\ Israel’s Future
            6. \\#33:1-24\\ A Message from God
            7. \\#34:1-17\\ The Destruction of Edom
            8. \\#35:1-10\\ The Blessedness of New Israel - This thought was
begun in the last verse of the chapter 34 \\#34:17\\. Once
the wicked Edom is destroyed (which I think will be the New
Palestinian State), Israel will enjoy the divine favor of God.

8. \\#35:1-10\\ The Blessedness of New Israel
    a. \\#1-2\\ In contrast to the land of Edom which is left ruined, Israel’s
most barren desert land will be a garden of beauty, joy, and
        productivity.
    b. \\#3-4\\ A back step in time - Because of what God has promised to do,
the Jews should strengthen the weak and feeble.
        1. This is an indicator that times are hard and many are giving up.
Since this comes on the heels of what we know were millennial
blessings, we assume we have back stepped into the tribulation.
        2. The weak are to be comforted with the promise that God will soon
come with a vengeance upon the Jews’ enemies and with salvation.
        3. This is probably a verse of encouragement to the saved Jews during
the last half of the tribulation.
    c. \\#5-10\\ Back into the millennium
        1. \\#5\\ When the Lord comes, then the blind shall see and the deaf shall
            hear.
        2. \\#6\\ The lame shall walk and the mute shall sing.
        3. \\#6-7\\ Waters will break out in the wilderness and the parched
ground shall become a pool with so much water "dragons" or sea
animals will be able to play.
        4. \\#8\\ "And an highway shall be there… called The Way of Holiness"
This highway has been mentioned before \\#Is 11:16, 19:23\\. It
will stretch from Assyria to Egypt, going through Jerusalem so that
the Jews will be able to return. Interestingly, the wicked will not
travel that highway, either because they know better or because they
            don’t exist.
        5. \\#9\\ This road will contain no danger.
        6. \\#10\\ And the Jews shall return to Israel with joy, gladness, and
            song.
